Known Issue: Chrome v89 Slow or Unresponsive

This issue has been resolved by hotfix 24.3. Please see the release notes for that version for more information on the fix. 

Issue Summary

Users have reported experiencing slowness or errors in Google Chrome upon opening certain administrative sections within Litify. Both the Questionnaire Builder (Questionnaires Tab) and the DICE Queue Builder appear to load slower than usual and/or crash with the error message “Page Unresponsive”. Newer version of Microsoft Edge may be impacted as well since it is based on the same "Chromium" browser source code.

Cause

The slowness seems to be attributed to the most recent update of Google Chrome (Version 89). Versions 88 and earlier do not seem to be experiencing this slowness. Our engineering team is working to identify the cause of this issue and to see what can be done to resolve it. 

In the case that Google Chrome is the culprit, we expect the speed issue to be addressed by Google in a future update.

Workaround

In the meantime, we suggest using Mozilla Firefox (Mac or PC) orApple Safari (Mac only) when using the Questionnaire Builder or DICE Queues Builder. We also recommend using an alternative browser if any other Litify tools appear to run slower after upgrading to the latest version of Google Chrome.
