A Party is an individual/business that is involved with an intake or case. Multiple parties can be involved in one case, taking on roles such as: the client, the insurance company, and the defendant. Created parties remain in your database forever and can be re-used for future cases when relevant.
- Both intakes and matters require parties.
- Parties must have assigned roles to display on an intake or matter.
When to Create a Party
- Upon initial intake (the caller is a party, even if not the client).
- Once a new individual/business involved with a case is discovered.
All Parties Have Roles
Involved parties have roles that they play in a case. Once a party is assigned a role, you can easily find their contact information and other key details by navigating to the Roles tab of a given intake or matter.
