Unable to View Email Records

Insufficient Permissions to View Email Records

Admins and users may be unable to view email records associated with matters or intakes after migrating (or bulk loading) email records into Litify. You might see an insufficient permissions message.


The EmailMessage Salesforce standard object has a field called Status that contains several pre-built options (draft, sent, read). The only user who can see an email in the Draft status is that user. Once an email is sent, the status changes and the email record becomes publicly accessible.

When you migrate data, the Status field is not included, so all emails default to the Draft status and only the user who created them will be able to see them.


All migrated email records need to be deleted and re-migrated with the proper status. This will enable all users to see the records.
