Add a comment to a case to keep the originating firm informed of any information that doesn’t affect the status of the case. Your firm and the originating firm can see comments you add to the case on the case timeline.
1. On your Active Referrals page, locate the case you need to update. Click Update beneath the Actions tab.
2. This opens the "Update Referral" window.
a. In the Change Status? dropdown, choose No changes (comment only).
b. Enter your comment.
c. Click Update.
3. This automatically adds the comment to the case timeline, so the originating firm can see the comment.
