Turn down an active referral if you decide the case is not right for your firm after you have signed it up. Use this process to turn down an active referral and notify the originating firm.
1. Locate the case you need to turn down on your Active Referrals page. Beneath the Actions tab, click Update.
2. Complete the "Update Referral" window.
a. Select Turn Down in the Change Status? dropdown list.
b. Select the reason for declining the referral.
c. Select the date of status change.
d. Add any additional comments.
e. Click Update.
This process automatically notifies the originating firm that you turned down the case.
