Update a case status to settled and add the settlement amount to the case.
1. Locate the case in your active referrals page. Beneath the Actions tab, click Update.
2. Complete the "Update Referral" window.
a. Choose Settled in the Change Status? dropdown list.
b. Enter the settlement amount.
c. Select the date of status change.
d. Add any additional comments.
e. Click Update.
3. This process automatically notifies the originating firm that you settled the case, and adds the change to Case Updates.
Updating statuses sends an automated email to the administrators of the originating firm, the assigned member of the handling firm, and the administrators of the handling firm.
