Choose a New Firm for a Turned Down or Declined Referral


When a handling firm declines or turns down your referral, the case still exists in your outbound referrals. Choose a new firm and send it again or give up on the case. Here's how:

1. Locate the declined case on your outbound referrals page. Beneath the status tab, the "Declined by" message appears in red. Click Requires Action

2. The Case Details page opens.


a. Click Choose a New Firm to open the "Choose a Handling Firm" window. Complete it to send the case to another firm. 
b. Click Give Up to give up on this referral and set its status to Cancelled.
