Litify improves its user interface with each release, based on both user experience feedback and upcoming new features. This guide outlines how to quickly adopt the newest page layout functionality across the product for existing clients. Clients onboarded with this release do not need to complete these steps.

You must be a Salesforce Administrator to update page layouts.

Expense Object Records

  1. Navigate to Setup > Object Manager.
  2. Select Expense.

Add Invoice # Field

  1. Navigate to Page Layouts.
  2. Select Expense Layout.
  3. Select Fields.
  4. Find the Invoice # field.
  5. Drag Invoice # to the Information section. parties1.jpeg
  6. Save.

Intake Object Records

  1. Navigate to Setup > Object Manager.
  2. Select Intake.

Add Intake History Related List

  1. Navigate to Page Layouts.
  2. Select Converted Intake Layout v7.
  3. Select Related Lists.
  4. Find Intake History.
  5. Drag Intake History to the Related Lists section of the page layout.parties2.jpeg
  6. Save.

Lien Object Records

  1. Navigate to Setup > Object Manager.
  2. Select Lien.

Add Invoice # and Comments Fields

  1. Navigate to Page Layouts.
  2. Select Lien Layout.
  3. Select Fields.
  4. Find the Invoice # field.
  5. Drag Invoice # to the Information section.
  6. Find the Section field.
  7. Drag Section beneath the Information section.parties3.jpeg
  8. Name the section Comments > select OK.
  9. Find the Comments field.
  10. Drag Comments to the Comments section.
  11. Save.

Matter Object Records

  1. Navigate to Setup > Object Manager.
  2. Select Matter.

Add Case Manager, Matter County, and Exact Source Fields

Surface more of what you need to know directly on the matter’s record.

  1. Navigate to Page Layouts.
  2. Select Matter Layout v4.
  3. Select Fields.
  4. Find the Case Manager field (name:litify_qa.lit_Case_Manager).parties4.jpeg
  5. Drag Case Manager to the Information section. parties5.jpeg
  6. Find the Matter County field.
  7. Drag Matter County to the Details section.
  8. Find the Exact Source field.
  9. Drag Exact Source to the Source section.
  10. Save.

Matter Plan Object Records

Add Clone Matter Plan Button

Take advantage of our new cloning feature for Matter Plans by adding the Clone button.

  1. Navigate to Page Layouts. The Matter Plan page layout settings populate.
  2. Select Mobile & Lightning Actions.
  3. Find the Clone button that has the name “litify_pm__Matter_Plan__c.Clone_Matter_Plan”.parties6.jpeg
  4. Drag the Clone button to the Salesforce Mobile & Lightning Actions section. parties7.jpeg
  5. Save.

Party Object Records

  1. Navigate to Setup > Object Manager.
  2. Select Party.

Add Billing County & Shipping County Fields

Add the new Billing County & Shipping County fields to your page layouts.

  1. Navigate to Page Layouts.
  2. Select Litify Individual (Take Action).
  3. Select Fields.
  4. Find the Billing County and Shipping County fields.
  5. Drag both fields to the Address section of the page layout. parties8.jpeg
  6. Save.
  7. Repeat steps 3-6 for the Litify Business (Take Action) page layout.

Add Calls and Emails Section

Call and Email fields have moved from the Administrative section to a new section, Calls and Emails.

  1. Navigate to Page Layouts.
  2. Select Litify Individual (Take Action).
  3. Select Fields.
  4. Find the Section field.
  5. Drag Section onto the page layout, beneath the Description section.
  6. Name the section Calls and Emails > select OKparties9.jpeg
  7. Drag the following fields from Administrative to Calls and Emails:
    • Total Calls
    • Total Emails
    • Last Called At
    • Last Emailed At
  8. Save.
  9. Repeat steps 3-8 for the Litify Business (Take Action) page layout.

Add Fields to Search Layouts

Improve your search layouts by updating the selected fields.

  1. Navigate to Search Layouts.
  2. Find your primary layout > Editparties10.jpeg
  3. Add the following fields to the Selected Fields column:
    • Party Name
    • Email
    • Phone Mobile
    • Phone Home
    • Phone
    • Date of Birth
    • Billing City
    • Billing State/Province
  4. Remove the following fields from the Selected Fields column:
    • Site
    • Owner Alias

Add Party Roles Component Lightning Record Page Layouts

To take advantage of the new Party Roles component you will need to update the Intakes and Matters Lightning Record Page Layouts.

  1. Navigate to Intakes.
  2. Select an Intake Name.
  3. Select Setup > Edit Page.
  4. Create a Parties Tab in the main body of the record.
  5. Find the Party Roles custom component.
  6. Drag the Party Roles custom component into the layout.parties12.jpeg
  7. Save
  8. Repeat for Matters.

You can remove the old intakeMatterRoles component from the layout now or once your team is used to the new Parties experience.


Litify Permission Sets

Update Litify Intakes User, and Litify Matter User permission sets to include the newly added fields as you see fit. Litiy Power Users have access to these new fields by default.
