Litify Referrals allows you to view detailed information about all of your sent referrals. Referral statuses describe the current state of the case. The handling firm's actions determine the status. Use this guide to keep up with your cases and never lose track of any important information. 

You can organize your outbound referrals by status and search your outbound referrals by client name, phone number, and email. 



1. On your Outbound Referrals page, each referral status is listed beneath the Status tab.

2. The statuses are: New, Under Review, Pending, Turned Down, Signed Up, Settled, Won, and Lost. Choose a status in the All statuses dropdown list to organize your outbound referrals by status.

Referral Status Definitions 


New - The referral has been created, but no one at your firm has sent it to a handling firm. 

Under Review - You sent the referral to a handling firm, but the handling firm has not yet signed up the case or declined it, nor has the case expired.

Pending -  You sent the referral to a handling firm and the firm declined or turned down the case, or let the case expire.

Turned Down - The handling firm has chosen not to work the referral. Transaction Status is pending. If the originating firm chooses to give up the case, its status is Cancelled and its Transaction Status is given up.  

Signed Up - The handling firm has chosen to work the case. 

Won - The handling firm won the case. 

Settled - The handling firm settled the case. 

Lost - The handling firm lost the case.
