Follow this process to update a case status to lost and inform the originating firm that you lost the case.
1. Click Update beneath the Actions tab.
2. Complete the "Update Referral" window.
a. In the Change Status? dropdown list choose Lost.
b. Enter the reason you lost the case.
c. Select the Date of Status Change.
d. Click Update.
3. This removes the case from your Active Referrals.
Updating a case's status sends an automated email to the administrators of the originating firm, the assigned member of the handling firm, and the administrators of the handling firm.
