Some firms may want to automatically filter out specific event types from their calendar. You can do this by selecting the unique ID associated to each event type. Follow this guide to set up a calendar event blacklist in your org. 
 

Prerequisites 

  • Calendar Rules must be set up
  • Your must have a Core Litify package version at or greater than 20.1001

1. Assign Litify Custom Settings Permissions to a Profile 

  1. Navigate to Setup > Profiles > Select a Profile. 
  2. Select Object Settings
  3. Select Litify Custom Settings
  4. Select Edit
  5. Change Tab Settings to Default Off.
  6. Enable Read Access  and Edit Access for the Data and Setting Name field permissions.
  7. Save

2. Create Litify Custom Settings Tab

  1. Navigate to Setup > Tabs
  2. Select New.
  3. Select the Litify Custom Settings object in the picklist. 
  4. Choose a tab style. 
  5. Select Next
  6. Select Apply different tab visibility for each profile. 
  7. Make sure all profiles are set to Tab Hidden.
  8. Change System Administrator to Default Off.we1.jpeg
  9. Select Next
  10. Select Save

 

Now you can navigate to the Litify Custom Settings app and create a new record.
 

3.  Create a Custom Record in Litify Custom Settings 

  1. Navigate to App Launcher > Litify Custom Settings
  2. Select New
  3. Define the following values:
    • Litify Custom Setting Name: Calendar Rules Event Dates Whitelist
    • Setting Name: Calendar Rules Event Dates Whitelist
    • Data: List of event IDs you wish to filter, separated by semi-colons. You can find event IDs as a field on any Calendar Rules event. 
  4. Save

 

Now events with IDs that match this list will not be included in your calendar.
