Litify periodically adds case types to the Litify Referrals Network. Firms with Case Types sync enabled in the Litify Setup app (in the Advanced Sync Settings screen) will see these new Case Type records appear in their Litify orgs.

If your firm already had a custom (local) Case Type, you may wish to hide the newly synced case type and continue to use your existing version. This guide explains how to do so. 

How to Hide Case Types

Disable Case Type sync

  1. In the Litify Setup app, open the Advanced Sync Settings screen.
  2. Click Stop next to the Case Types sync settings.
    • If Case Type sync runs, it will set all official LRN Case Types to "Is Available," thus making unused or duplicate Case Types available for assignment to Intakes and Matters.

Disable the unwanted LRN Case Type

  1. From the Litify Setup app, open the Case Types tab.
  2. Open the newly synced Case Type record, which will have the "Is Local" checkbox unchecked and will have a value for "Litify.com ID" other than "0."
  3. Open the Details tab on the Case Type record page.
  4. Uncheck the Is Available checkbox and Save.

Remap your existing Case Type to the new LRN Case Type (optional)

If the newly synced Case Type is very similar to an existing local Case Type, you may want to update your existing Case Type to map it to the new LRN version. This will ensure that when you send and receive Referrals with this Case Type, other firms see the best "fit" from the available options. 

  1. From the Litify Setup app, open the Case Types tab.
  2. Open your custom (local) Case Type record, which will have the "Is Local" checkbox checked.
  3. Open the Details tab on the Case Type record page.
  4. Edit the LRN Case Type field to select the newly synced LRN Case Type and click Save.
