Recurring events created in Litify won’t sync to Outlook calendar
- Salesforce doesn’t provide API for such syncing.
If the event owner is a Litify user who is not using Litify Inbox, and at least one attendee is a Litify user in the same org who is using Litify Inbox, the event will not sync
- This will trigger a synchronization error within Litify Inbox
- Categories applied to the event in Exchange will state the error
- The User's Sync Settings Dashboard will show the list of synchronization issues
If you have a recurring event with a high number of occurrences
- Salesforce will only show a limited number of occurrences
- Older occurrences are not removed, and upcoming occurrences are added in a rolling pattern (only when event is updated and 25% of the occurrences limit are exhausted) defined by Salesforce in this help article
- If a meeting has 100 occurrences, it’s synced to Litify, but if a User updates it in Litify, it’s synced to Outlook as an event without any limits
If you have a recurring event which was changed
- MS Outlook will update both past and future occurrences
- Litify will change only future events
- Litify Inbox handles an update of event series in Litify in the following way:
- Past events are not changed
- No updates are sent to attendees
- Only future events are updated
- Litify will overwrite any changed event description, location, and WhatId relationships for individual events in the series based on the “master” event: all occurrences in Exchange will be changed, including all exceptions
If you have a recurring all-day event
- The event will not sync to Litify
- Will trigger a synchronization error within Revenue Inbox
- Categories applied to the event in Exchange will state the error
- Sync Settings Dashboard will show list of synchronization issue
If you convert an already synced single event to a recurring event in Exchange
- The recurring event will not sync to Litify
- Will trigger a synchronization error within Litify Inbox
- Categories applied to the event in Exchange will state the error
- Sync Settings Dashboard will show list of synchronization issue
Time zone auto-sync exceptions
- If an event created in Exchange uses a time zone that is not supported by Litify, the event may not sync.
