Folders allow users to group related files. Once collected into a folder, it's easier for users to manipulated the related files as they see fit. This article outlines the various actions that users can perform using folders.

Permissions 

Folder Actions are permission based, and can be adjusted in the Docrio Admin Settings. To locate these settings:

  1. Click the App Launcher.
  2. Search for and launch the Docrio Admin Settings.
  3. Click Folder Actions.
  4. Select the profile you wish to grant actions to. 
  5. Check the box next to the action(s) you wish to grant.

Using Actions

Use Folder Actions to quickly interact with folders.

  1. Navigate to Litify Matters > Matters > select a Matter Name.
  2. Select the Docrio tab.
  3. Find the Actions column to the right of your file or folder.
  4. Expand the dropdown to select an action.

List of Actions

There are eight Folder Actions which can be granted to a Docrio User based on Salesforce and Litify Profiles. 

Copy Folder

  • Users will be able to copy folder(s) to the current record, or any other record where Docrio is present.
  • All files within the folder will be copied with the folder. User will need File Action Copy permission to perform this action.

Create Filing Cabinet Folder

  • Allows the user to create folders with the Docrio Filing Cabinet.

Create Folder

  • Users will be able to create a folder on any record where Docrio is present.

Delete Folder

  • Users will be able to delete folder(s).
  • All files within the folder will be deleted with the folder. Users will also need File Action Delete permission to perform this action.

Download Folder

  • Download a local copy of a folder from Docrio.
  • In order for this action to work, users will also require the Download File permission found on the File Actions page of the Docrio Admin Settings.

Move Folder

  • Users will be able to move folder(s) to the current record, or any other record where Docrio is present.
  • All files within the folder will be moved with the folder. User will need File Action Move permission to perform this action.

Rename Folder

  • User will be able to rename a folder on any record where Docrio is present.

Upload Folder

  • Allows user to upload local folders, including subfolders and files, to Docrio.
  • In order for this action to work, users will also require the Upload permission found on the File Actions page of the Docrio Admin Settings.
