The Litify Inbox Customization page allows System Administrators and individual users to adjust settings that define interactions between the general Litify platform and Litify Inbox. These settings can be adjusted to tweak the user experience for those using either the Outlook Add-In or the Chrome Extension.
Customization settings are applied at the user-level, and as such they can be accessed and adjusted by users individually. Alternatively, these settings can be adjusted by a System Administrator and pushed to all users in the Litify organization. These settings include viewing, processing, and searching patterns for different types of objects and their associated fields.

Application Settings
The Application Settings section allows you to define the behavior of the Litify Inbox add-in. The controls that are compatible with Litify will be covered in this section.
Do not load objects related lists
If you select this checkbox, Litify Inbox will not display suggested records in the Sidebar.
|
|
Do not load related objects lists (Enabled) | Do not load related objects lists (Disabled) |

|
|

Email Saving Settings
This section contains controls that define email saving options available to end users.
Do not select “Auto-save in thread” by default
This setting defines whether the checkbox to automatically save all future emails within the thread is checked/unchecked by default.
|
|
Do not select ‘Auto-save in thread’ by default (Enabled) | Do not select ‘Auto-save in thread’ by default (Disabled) |
Edit Email body in the Save dialog
This setting should always be disabled as it is not compatible with the Enhanced Email.
Allow Creating Duplicate Emails in Salesforce
This setting defines whether users can save the same Email Message to more than one record in Litify.
If the setting is set to true, you can specify which objects users can save duplicate emails to using the dropdown. Please note that only objects added to the Objects in Litify Inbox column will be available in the dropdown.
Defining Record Associations
This section controls what Objects users can and cannot save Emails and Events to.
Disallow linking |
Users cannot save Emails or Events to Objects defined in this setting. |
Pre-select for linking |
Related records will be automatically selected for the end user when save operation is initiated. This setting works in combination with the Do not load related objects lists setting. |
Below is an example of how the combination of these two settings works. The email address in the image below is associated with a Party that has multiple related Intakes and Matters. With the Do not load related objects lists settings disabled, all of these related records are displayed in the sidebar.
The Preselect for linking to emails field is set to Intakes.
That is why when a user hits the save button, the suggested related record will be automatically selected in the save dialog.
To avoid Emails being saved to incorrect records, we recommend having the Do not load related objects lists setting to be set to false and not to use the Preselect for linking to emails setting.
Attachment Handling
In this section users can define the default Litify Inbox behavior when selecting attachments in the Save dialog.
Configure Set of Objects to Display
Add which Objects are available in your Litify org to the list of Objects used in Litify Inbox.
Please note that the following Objects are considered required and should always be added to the Objects in Litify Inbox:
- Email Message
- Event
- Party
- Task
- User
Make sure to remove any extra Objects that are not used by the end users as it may impact Litify Inbox add-in performance.
Customize Objects in Litify Inbox
You can customize each Object added to Litify Inbox to define:
- Object Card Appearance
- Compact Object Card Layout
- Object Detailed View
- Object Card Behavior
Object Card Appearance
Object Card Compact Layout
Users can customize what fields will be displayed in a compact Object Card layout—up to 4 fields.

Object Detailed View
It is possible to define what record fields will be available in the add-in by navigating to the Detailed view from an Object Card.
All the fields from the Detailed View are displayed on a record’s card detailed view.
- The order of fields displayed in the Detailed View Card is defined by the Objects Page Layout in Litify.
- The fields displayed in the Detailed View Card are added/removed in the Objects Card detailed view setting.
- If a field is not in the Object’s Page Layout but added to the Detailed View, it won’t be displayed.
Fields marked as important appear in the Litify Inbox Create New Record screen.
If there is a separate Page Layout for new records in Litify that doesn’t contain fields marked as important in customizations, they will not be displayed in the create new record screen.
Object Card Behavior
Other Settings
In the Other Settings section Users can define Object Cards behavior when an Object is searched for in the Litify Inbox.
