Known Issue: Related Lists Fails to Load

Issue Summary

Users have been experiencing an issue where on certain Records one or more Related Lists fails to load successfully. When hovering or selecting the Related List Link the loading spinner is displayed indefinitely and the page freezes.


This issue is caused when the Related List is displaying a Rich Text field and the field contains certain HTML formatted text that has been copied and pasted from elsewhere. 


We have identified the following two workarounds to solve this problem.

  1. Remove the Rich Text Field from the Related List. It does not have to be removed from the Page Layout and Users can still select on the Record to view the content of the Rich Text Field.
  2. Delete and retype the content of the Rich Text Field within the Field itself without copying and pasting it from elsewhere.

Litify Support Information

This workaround might not work for everyone. Litify has already reached out to Salesforce Support directly as this issue appears to have begun after the latest Salesforce Winter '22 Release and is unrelated to the Litify product. We will update this article accordingly once we have additional information.
