Litify Inbox v2108 Release Notes

The Litify Inbox v2108 update includes many improvements to both the Outlook Add-In and the Chrome Extension versions of the product. In addition to these improvements, this update also addresses a number of bugs both reported by users and identified internally. 

Read on to learn more about the improvements and fixes found in this latest version of Litify Inbox. 

This release requires no additional actions by local system administrators to install. The new version of Litify Inbox will be deployed to your org automatically regardless of the product version—cloud or desktop.

Improvements 

Below are three lists of improvements:

  1. The first covers improvements applicable to users of either version of the product.
  2. The second covers improvements unique to the Outlook Add-In version of Litify Inbox. 
  3. The third covers improvements unique to the Chrome Extension version of Litify Inbox. 

Improvement to Both Version

The list of improvements below apply to those using either the Outlooking Add-In or CHrome Extension versions of Litify Inbox.

Save Email/Save Event button is now disabled for Objects that users are not allowed to save Emails/Events to.

  • For any Objects added to the "Disallow linking..." lists in the Customizations settings, the Save email and Save event buttons are now greyed out. When users hover over these buttons they will see the following tooltip:

  • Saving via the Sidebar is also disabled in this configuration.

New setting to prevent saving the Email Body to Litify. 

  • This can be helpful in cases where the Email Body contains sensitive information that should not be shared in Litify.
  • Please note that the settings to disable Email Body saving for manual and automatic save operations are different.

The "Force Required" checkbox has been added to the Object Card

  • This option will make fields required for records created via the Litify Inbox sidebar. 
  • If the field is not marked as required in Litify, but set to the force required mode in the Litify Inbox Customizations, users will be prompted to enter data in this field when creating new records via Litify Inbox.
  • Location field is set to the Force Required Mode

Improved notifications displayed for Customization settings updates.

  • In addition, Customization loading time is now logged in AppInsights as Customization.Applying for monitoring and analysis.

Outlook Add-in Improvements

The list of improvements below apply to those using the Outlooking Add-In version of Litify Inbox.

Added synchronization of MS Exchange conference rooms as Resource Calendars to Litify.

  • The new setting allows syncing of conference rooms from MS Exchange to Litify.
  • To have this sync work correctly, Resource Calendars should be created in Litify with the same names as the Conference Rooms in MS Exchange.
  • Limitations:
    • Only one conference room per Meeting/Appointment can sync to Litify.
    • This feature works only one way: MS Exchange to Litify.
    • Conference Rooms are synced as Resource Calendars only.

Chrome Extension Improvements

The list of improvements below apply to those using the Google Chrome Extension version of Litify Inbox.

Synchronization of Google conference rooms as Resource Calendars to Litify.

  • The new setting allows syncing of conference rooms from Google to Litify. To have this sync work correctly, Resource Calendars should be created in Litify with the same names as the Conference Rooms in Google.
  • Limitations:
    • Only 1 conference room per Meeting/Appointment can sync to Litify.
    • This feature works only one way: Google to Litify.
    • Conference Rooms are synced as Resource Calendars only.

Sign in to the Admin Panel with your Google Account credentials.

  • Now both Admins and Users with Admin privileges assigned in the Litify Inbox Admin Panel can log into the Admin Panel with their Google credentials.
  • Previously users had to use the login and password shared by the Revenue Grid Team.

Bug Fixes

Below is a list of bugs that have been resolved in this release.

  • Litify Inbox customization changes take more than 7 minutes to apply.
    • The time to apply customization updates was reduced to 2-3 minutes.
  • Autotracked events/appointments are not shown in Chrome Extension as saved.
    • Fixed an issue where autosaved Events and Appointments were sometimes not marked as "Saved" in the Litify Inbox (LI) Sidebar.
  • Sync is not enabled automatically after re-login via the  "Provide access to Office 365" dialog.
    • The Sync engine now starts automatically after its re-activation via the "Provide access to Office 365" dialog in the LI sidebar.
  • Constant event updates from Litify to Outlook.
    • Fixed an Events down-syncing issue that impacted accounts with no Advanced calendaring prerequisite fulfilled, where certain meetings got updated by the Sync engine on every sync session unnecessarily.
  • Sync Error thrown by the Google connector: “TimeZoneNotFoundException".
    • Fixed the cause of a Sync Error "TimeZoneNotFoundException" that occurred on syncing Events set in a custom time zone.
  • “Email cannot be saved to the Matter/Intake” error.
    • Fixed the “Email cannot be saved to the Matter/Intake” error that impacted emails saved to Matters or Parties retrieved from the LI Sidebar search.
  • Search bar displaying "0" while the add-in is loading info for the selected item.
    • Fixed a specific UI glitch where "0" was displayed in the search field while a search request was being processed.
  • The “Event will be saved” status is displayed on the saved Event.
    • Resolved UI issue where the "Event will be saved" notification was displayed in the LI Sidebar's header instead of "Event is saved" after performing any search action.
  • Add-in gets blank on email saving.
    • Fixed a specific issue where the Add-In became unresponsive when creating a record or saving an email with the "%" character in the First Name or Last Name fields.
